I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus

We've been singing this song every night with Connor lately - it is his absolute favorite :)
I messed up the lyrics in the 2nd verse . . . oops!  But everyone just went along anyway!  I adore how he says "gentle and loving" - so precious - ENJOY!

It's only been 6 months . . .

I know I'm terrible for not updating the blog over the past 6 months -- It's amazing how 2 little boys can make your life seem so crazy . . . and to think, we're going to have a third little boy in just a few short months :) I figure I should do a blog post now, because once #3 arrives,
who knows how long it will be!

Hiking at Rock Bridge State Park, gorgeous little place only 10 minutes from our house

This photo of Cole was just too cute not to post - it was taken about 3 weeks before he turned 1

We spent Cole's 1st birthday with Nate, Chelsea and Ava in Georgia - It was such a fun trip, and the Sesame Street party that Chelsea planned for him was so cute . . . Thanks again for having us guys - Miss and Love you!

Halloween - Our adorable Lion and Tiger (should have made daddy wear a bear costume ;)

Instruments have been a BIG thing at our house lately - Here is Connor playing his "violin" - We need to move back to Utah so Aunt Britt can teach him to play a real one!

Daddy and Coleman playing guitars

My little acoustic guitarist ;)

Looks like we have another climber on our hands - YIKES!
Don't worry, Chris is right behind him :)

Daddy and Cole just hanging out

In our Christmas sweaters after church one Sunday in December

Connor giving Santa a hug - He was pretty "star-struck" when he saw him ;)

Ready for Santa to come on Christmas Eve in matching pajamas

Connor was so excited to put the stockings by the fireplace and set out cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer (notice the cookie with a bite out of it - Connor thought he should taste them to make sure they were good before giving them to Santa!)

Building a snowman after our only decent snow of the year (so far) - not that I'm complaining!

And a few days later it was in the mid-50's -
That's Missouri weather for you!
We took advantage of the nice day and went to our neighborhood park

Quick Update :)

Our Happy Boy -  He is so delightful :)

This is such a cute, silly book that we found while Grandma Denise and Aunt Britt were visiting - it's called "What's Wrong with My Hair?"  Both boys love putting their faces in the oval and trying out the different "hairstyles"

They love playing together, and bath time is always a favorite :)

Connor is starting to really LOVE reading . . . and we couldn't be happier!

No . . . he did not stick his finger in an outlet . . . just after nap "bed head" :)

Happy 2nd B-day, Connor!!
Here are a few snapshots that captured some of the activity during his Curious George themed party - we were so lucky to have Grandma Denise and Brittany visiting for the party :)

Brothers

One of my favorite things lately . . .
Right after this Connor was "wrestling" with Cole, and Cole was belly laughing so hard that it made me and Connor laugh too.  What a delightful day!

Utah Trip - Part 2

Family Picture - Hiking in Zions National Park

Lounging and Playing in Grandpa Dave and Grandma Kay's Pool

We all LOVED the new addition to the Pinkston Family, Zooey - And she was so good with the boys! Connor loved to say her name :)

Grandma Kay's cane was one of Connor's favorite toys -
We shortened it and he would walk around using it correctly, which reminded us of one of his favorite movie characters -
Carl from Disney's "UP"
This photo was taken on an after dinner walk on the trails around Kay and Dave's neighborhood

Our pleasant, little doll baby at the park by Kay and David's home :)

The last night in St. George, Grandpa Dave was making Connor laugh so hard!

4 Generation photo (minus Chris) -
Chris' Grandmother, Parents and the boys

We had such a wonderful time with all of our family members in St. George and we are super anxious to get out there and do it all again!

Utah Trip - Part 1

One week ago, we returned to Missouri after a whirlwind trip visiting family in Utah.  We spent the first half of our vacation with the Call family, and there was not one minute of down time!! We were so happy to introduce our sweet little Cole to his great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Here are photos documenting our crazy, non-stop trip!

Chris ran his first, full marathon and he did GREAT!  This first photo is around Mile 22 . . . and he's still looking strong :)

Looking pretty happy with himself at the finish line ;)

Jess ran the half-marathon with her sister, Brittany, and a couple of her friends, Stephanie and Melanie.  Will, our brother-in-law, also did the half-marathon with us.  We sure missed those who intended to run the race and weren't able to join us - Love you Dad and Nate!

Connor holding Grandpa's hand and a balloon - and he couldn't be happier!

This was the day of the marathon (which is my excuse for the sweats and make-up less face - eek!), but I had to put in this adorable picture of all the cousins snuggling together and reading "Toy Story"

Such a beautiful little expression on Cole's face while he enjoys the outdoors with Aunt Britt :)

Connor riding daddy's shoulders at the Hogle Zoo

Pure delight on Connor's face while he does one of his favorite things - RUN!!!
All of the cousins just loved running around and chasing each other :)

Cole was wiped out after a long day at the zoo - but Grandma is in heaven :)

Britt is everyone's favorite playmate in the backyard!

We went to the farm at Thanksgiving Point - the kids got to see and pet all sorts of animals, as well as ride a wagon and a pony (I'm afraid the carousel at the mall will never hold the same fascination again!)

These last two photos were taken on our final night with the Call family, which was spent at South Fork Park in Provo Canyon.  We had so much fun with everyone, and we can't wait to come back and do it all over again . . . hopefully very soon!

Part 2 of the Utah trip will follow SOON :)
